Meghan Markle's rumored acting comeback has reportedly been dismissed as a "PR stunt" after speculation that the ***** ss of Sussex would join "The Gentlemen" was seemingly put to rest.
Rumors of Markle's return to acting had intensified following reports that she and Prince Harry were planning to return to the UK. However, stars of Guy Ritchie's Netflix series have now seemingly shut down the speculation, clarifying that the "Suits" star is not joining the show after all.
"The Gentlemen" stars have seemingly dismissed speculation surrounding Meghan Markle's rumored acting comeback at the London premiere of Season 2. Vinnie Jones appeared to take a subtle jab at the ***** ss of Sussex, stating: "I think it's hot air. We've got a lot of pretty women in this series, so I'm not sure there's room for any more" (via Radar Online).
Theo James also addressed the speculation with his signature sense of humor. He quipped: "No. Prince Harry is playing one of my love interests. So that's the Meghan Markle thing." James later offered a more serious response, stating: "I think it's a spurious rumour. She'd fit in well because she's actually from the Royal Family, but I think the practicalities of that are impossible."
Meanwhile, other cast members appeared surprised that the rumor had made headlines, with several admitting they were unaware of the speculation. An industry source subsequently suggested that Markle's team may have been behind the reports, telling the outlet that there was growing skepticism over their origins.
