Two former employees of the Golden State Warriors are suing the franchise, alleging gender and race-based discrimination, workplace harassment and retaliation in regards to their eventual termination. A lawyer for former Warriors **** ociate general counsel Lisa Shelley — professionally known as Lisa Meyer — and former Warriors vice president of diversity, equity and inclusion Jennifer Vasquez filed the lawsuit Aug. 25 in San Francisco County's Superior Court of California. The two are seeking damages on the grounds of emotional distress and lost wages, and ask for "permanent injunctive relief in the form of an order" prohibiting the Golden State franchise from further discriminating against employees.
