The Miami Dolphins have methodically worked their way through roster cuts this weekend, as they aim to have 53 players by Sunday's deadline at 6:00 p.m. ET.
One of the moves that Miami made Sunday morning was the release of cornerback Miles Battle, according to the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson.
Battle played at Ole Miss and Utah before going undrafted in 2024 and landing with the Kansas City Chiefs. After his brief stint with the Chiefs, he spent most of the last two seasons with the New England Patriots and signed with the Dolphins on a reserve/futures contract.
In three preseason games, the 26-year-old recorded four tackles, two passes defensed and an interception.
The Dolphins didn't have a deep cornerback room in training camp, especially with Storm Duck and Darrell Baker Jr. sidelined with injuries, but Battle still didn't do enough to earn a 53-man roster spot.
