The late Queen Elizabeth II was the epitome of elegance throughout her reign, sporting demure outfits and an unwavering smile wherever she went. She was sure to remain professional and poised at all times, but in a rare moment of fun at home with her children, the royal was caught in ultimate mum mode.
Her Majesty was snapped at her beloved Scottish home, Balmoral, with her son King Charles (then Prince) and Princess Anne, and the latter was caught in an unfortunate position, being pulled in from an open window.

These rare moments when the Queen is simply "mum" rather than head of the monarchy are beautiful examples of how wholesome their family life is away from the public eye. Balmoral is often considered the place where Her Majesty felt most at home.
