The Nashville actress died at 36 years old on Sunday, August 16 in her on-again, off-again boyfriend's South Carolina home. Just a day before, she was spotted at LAX airport boarding a flight to Greenville with Brian, who she previously shared a tumultuous relationship with that included multiple reported incidents of domestic violence.
Her estranged mother confessed she tried to separate the two before their reunion. While appearing on the Monday episode of Good Morning America, Lesley claimed she told her late daughter they couldn't have a relationship if she kept in touch with Brian.
Lesley gave the ultimatum during their last phone call after being given the advice by a therapist.
"I needed it. I needed to have that pocket of time," Lesley said of removing her daughter from her life. "Of course, I thought it was gonna be a pocket of time.
