Nebraska football is in the mix with class of 2028 four-star tight end Israel Johnigan. Now, he is planning to visit Nebraska multiple times, including for a game-day visit. This was reported by Husker Online's Bobby Schneider last week. (Subscription needed)
Johnigan earned an offer following Nebraska's Battle of the Boneyard camp in June. He is the 299th overall player in the 2028 class, the 14th overall player at his position, and the fourth overall player in his class from the state of Missouri, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings.
In addition to the Huskers, he has offers from Iowa State, Kansas, Minnesota, and Illinois. The tight end will be coming for the October 10 game against Indiana.
The Huskers need tight end depth for the future, with the position boasting ample upperclassman experience. Luke Lindenmeyer headlines the group, with Carter Nelson and Luke Sorensen as others to watch. This room will need a boost following Lindenmeyer's departure, and Johnigan could provide that.
