Sophie Cunningham has recently been discussing the future of Cathy Engelbert as the WNBA commissioner.
Engelbert has been commissioner since 2019, but her contract with the league is thought to be up after the 2026 season.
Now, Cunningham has hinted that we could see someone else in that role moving forward.
The Indiana Fever star suggested that Engelbert's role could 'maybe open at the end of the year', before adding 'that's up to Adam Silver at the end of the day'.
It remains to be seen exactly what the future holds for Engelbert, but she was asked about still being in charge come 2027 in an interview last month.
