LAWRENCE — As Daryl Agpalsa recently reflected on the Kansas football offensive line room, he highlighted that the unit has been on a steady climb.
Agpalsa, the Jayhawks' position coach for the group, acknowledged that there are ups and downs over the course of fall camp. The unit isn't where KU needs it to be yet. But they're still moving in the right direction, as the regular season opener continues to draw closer.

Here are some takeaways about how things are progressing with Kansas' offensive line:
Along the offensive line, redshirt junior Amir Herring spent last season as the Jayhawks' regular starter at left guard. But this year, while KU brought in redshirt junior Kasen Carpenter as a transfer from Oklahoma State, there's a very good chance that Herring sees some playing time at center. Kansas head coach Lance Leipold detailed that possibility recently, outlining that when they can have Herring at center, they're bigger at guard with redshirt juniors Connor Stroh (Texas transfer) and Tavake Tuikolovatu in the game.
