Hims & Hers Health is planning to sell compounded peptides, the company said in a Monday earnings call.
The company's CEO, Andrew Dudum, said in the earnings call that it was "currently developing a best-in-class peptides experience, including U.S. manufactured products, clinical-led guidance, and ongoing blood testing."
Dudum said in the call that the company had begun testing for the ingredients in some peptides, adding that "this will ensure we can bring them to the market with a safe, verified supply chain if the [Food and Drug Administration (FDA)] decides to allow them for compounding."
Injectable peptides, which are combinations of amino acids, recently became popular among many health-conscious Americans, partially due to enthusiasm from Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy.
Kennedy has said he is "a big fan of peptides" and has vowed action to widen their accessibility.
