According to an investigation by The Telegraph, the woman was allegedly promoted while the relationship was ongoing before leaving UEFA with a substantial payment.
The report claims UEFA also funded an MBA for the former employee at a business school, with annual fees said to have been around £45,000.
UEFA has confirmed that a payment was made, along with funding for the MBA, although they insist both were permitted under the regulations governing staff departures at the time.
