Iman Shumpert thinks LeBron James picked the 76ers because he loves a challenge originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
After winning a championship for every team he has played for, LeBron James is looking to win another one, this time with the Philadelphia 76ers. This is a big deal for Philly because the 76ers have not won a championship since 1983, and in fact, they haven't made the Finals since 2001.
It is a huge challenge to take on because the 76ers seem to struggle all the time in the Playoffs. They definitely had the talent to compete with the likes of Joel Embiid, Jimmy Butler, and Ben Simmons all trying their best to lead this team past the second round.
Considering LeBron has pulled off the impossible quite regularly during his NBA career, it is fair to expect that he will usher in a new era in Philadelphia. He won the Cleveland Cavaliers their first-ever championship while coming back from a 3-1 deficit.
James also led the Miami Heat to back-to-back ***** les in 2012 and 2013, and lastly, he was the catalyst for the Los Angeles Lakers' much-deserved ***** le from the 2020 Playoffs in the NBA Bubble. He has always stepped up to the plate, and the 76ers are another tough challenge.
