The Packers can't get their kicking situation settled, and Tuesday's transactions showed that the position is still a work in progress.
The Packers drafted Trey Smack out of Florida in the sixth round this spring. They also had Lucas Havrisik on their roster to compete with Smack.
But the team released Havrisik on Tuesday, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
The Packers signed Lenny Krieg to replace Havrisik in the competition, Bill Huber of SI.com reports.
Krieg tried out with the team on Monday.
