Leeds United have opened talks with Manchester City over a deal to sign goalkeeper James Trafford.
Trafford is Leeds' top target as the club search for a new goalkeeper and negotiations are underway with Manchester City to strike a deal.
The 23-year-old signed for Manchester City from Burnley last summer, but saw his first-team football limited after the arrival of Gianluigi Donnarumma from Paris Saint-Germain later in the same transfer window.
Trafford had come through the academy system at Manchester City and opted to re-sign for the Cityzens despite a rival bid fromNewcastle United.
He made only fourPremier League starts, though did feature prominently as City won the League Cup and FA Cup.
