Blue Jays' Ernie Clement gets a tiny bit of Dodgers revenge originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Ernie Clement saw two pitches during the All-Star Game and grounded out on both, but the Toronto Blue Jays' second baseman was saving his shining moment for the defensive side of the ball.
When Andy Pages of the Los Angeles Dodgers hit a grounder up the middle in the fifth inning, Clement ranged to his backhand side to snag it.
He then had to leap and throw to first, and the ball got there on the fly and in time for the out to end the frame.
Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Nick Martinez gave a thankful point out to Clement, as the first-time All-Star pitcher and first-time All-Star infielder came through together.
