Every time San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk goes a few days without posting on social media, everyone wonders if he's finally getting some good advice. After last weekend's meltdown, in which he took aim at his good friend, Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, Aiyuk was back at it on Wednesday.
"You're on my team now," Aiyuk said last weekend. "You follow my rules. Boy, I'm a grown a-- man. You're gonna have to start running behind your momma, and I might believe what you're talking about, but until then, uh-uh."
That was shocking. It led some Washington fans to think that Aiyuk and Daniels were somehow trolling the NFL world. That didn't make sense, but fans who somehow still wanted Aiyuk were trying to convince themselves it was a strategic effort to help Aiyuk secure his release from the 49ers.
On Wednesday, Aiyuk had a message for Daniels.
"He said, 'I don't do that internet s--t, Bro,'" Aiyuk said on Instagram, referring to Daniels. "'Hit my phone if you gotta talk to me. You got my number.' I called, and he didn't answer."
