Bangladesh have named Towhid Hridoy as captain for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe after regular skipper Litton ****** ar Das was granted leave to participate in the Lanka Premier League (LPL). The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced a 15-member squad on Wednesday, with all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain earning a recall following his impressive recent form.

Litton, along with fast bowler Taskin Ahmed, will miss the T20I series to honour their LPL commitments. The three matches are scheduled to be played at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on July 15, 17 and 19.

Mosaddek returns to the T20I setup after producing a series of strong performances in the recent ODI series against Australia, where he amassed 157 runs in three matches, strengthening his case for a comeback in the shortest format.

The selectors have also recalled Yasir Ali, who is set for his first T20I appearance in nearly three years after last representing Bangladesh during the Asian Games in October 2023. Pace-bowling all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin also returns after missing the home white-ball series against Australia, while Shamim Hossain has been rested following a string of low scores.
Towhid Hridoy (captain), Parvez Hossain Emon, Tanzid Hasan, Mohammed Saif Hassan, Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, Yasir Ali Chowdhury, Nurul Hasan Sohan, Mahedi Hasan, Nasum Ahmed, Rishad Hossain, Shoriful Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, Nahid Rana, Mohammad Saifuddin and Abdul Gaffar Saqlain.
Bangladesh's white-ball tour of Zimbabwe begins on July 6, following an eventful one-off Test in Harare. The visitors will first contest a three-match ODI series at the Harare Sports Club before travelling to Bulawayo for a three-match T20I series, with the tour concluding on July 19.
