It’s been nearly two months since Fernando Mendoza officially became a quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders. Tom Brady owns a 5% stake in the franchise and is the most popular name attached to the team’s ownership.
Mendoza recently met with the Raiders for the first time at the combine. While he shook hands with everyone available, Brady was on FaceTime to welcome the 2026 No. 1 draft pick to his new home.
The interaction between them went viral and didn’t sit well with some fans, as they labelled it “cringe.”
“What’s up, Mr. Brady? How are you doing?” Mendoza said to Brady. The NFL legend asked the young quarterback to call him by his name, as “Mr. Brady” is usually ******* ociated with his father.
It was a lighthearted conversation, but fans on the internet had mixed reactions to it.
