Days after the famed YouTube personality, 43, addressed followers from the United States Capitol as she continues to speak out for children affected by President Donald Trump's immigration crackdown, she shared information about a doctor reportedly held in solitary confinement.
"Free Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya. He is a pediatrician," she wrote in an Instagram post shared Thursday, June 18.
"His life's work has been caring for children," she continued. "He refused to abandon the babies, toddlers and children under his care during a genocide."
Earlier this week, Israel's Supreme Court rejected an appeal from the prominent Palestinian doctor, who is being held under the Unlawful Combatants Law without any criminal charges against him in Israel, according to Al Jazeera.
