Now former college quarterback Brendan Sorsby to the Tennessee ******* ans in the NFL supplemental draft?
Don't bet on it.
Sorsby, a 22-year-old quarterback who gambled on a variety of sports, including college football and specifically Indiana when he was on the roster and lost NCAA eligibility, said June 15 he will forgo his legal battles with the NCAA by applying for the NFL supplemental draft. That news opened doors of speculation about where Sorsby could land.
Sorsby made approximately 9,000 wagers during a four-year span in college, resulting in the NCAA stripping him of his eligibility, only to see that decision overturned when a Texas judge issued a temporary injunction that potentially would have allowed him to play next season for Texas Tech. He placed at least 2,900 of those bets, including 40 on football games in which he did not play, while he was at Indiana.
All of that aside, there are other reasons the ******* ans likely wouldn't put their hat in the ring for a shot at getting Sorsby.
