COLUMBUS — After finishing first in five consecutive 1600-meter races Fairless' Brice Fuller placed second in regionals to qualify for the state meet at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium at Ohio State University.
After finishing fifth in the 3200-meter race on Thursday, June 5, Fuller earned his first individual gold medal, winning the 1600-meter race with a time of 4:12.69.
“This was an exciting way to end my season,” Fuller said, supporting a new gold medal round his neck. “Definitely came in with a little extra motivation after my finish the 3200-meter yesterday, I knew I had another race to focus on and give it my best shot.”
In districts he placed first with a time of 4:17.70, and at regionals he finished with a time of 4:18.70.
