OXFORD — Ole Miss football defensive lineman Carmelow Reed has been arrested, according to booking information provided by the Lafayette County Sheriff's Department in Oxford.
Reed was arrested on two charges and booked into the Lafayette County Detention Center at 8:51 p.m. on July 31. He was charged with "Possession with intent of Schedule I or Schedule II controlled substance between 10 and 30 grams" as well as speeding.
Reed, 18, is a freshman defensive end from Chicago. He is a member of the 2025-26 signing class and enrolled early at Ole Miss to participate in spring drills.
The 247Sports Composite ranked Reed as a four-star recruit out of Morgan Park High School. Reed was originally committed to Wisconsin before flipping to Ole Miss.
Reed's bond was not disclosed.
