Emmet Sheehan is on the mound for the Dodgers in the series finale, with rookie Jake Bennett pitching for Boston, the third straight left-handed starter for the Red Sox this weekend. Bennett has allowed three or fewer runs in each of his last eight starts.
Jason Benetti is calling play-by-play for the exclusive NBC telecast, which will also be streamed on Peacock. Orel Hershiser and Lou Merloni join Benetti in the booth for the call. In addition, Clayton Kershaw will be on the pregame show with Bob Costas, then will join the broadcast for various ***** yses while sitting adjacent to the third base dugout.

A squirrel caused quite a bit of chaos on Monday at Comerica Park.
A black squirrel managed to break onto the field during the Detroit Tigers' 8-5 loss to the Baltimore Orioles, and it led the grounds crew on a chase in the outfield. Orioles outfielder Leody Taveras even had to get in on the action, though he couldn't quite catch the elusive animal with his glove.
Perhaps the best part of the loose squirrel was Jason Benetti's call of the scene from the booth.
"No, I won't be hemmed in! I have freedom on my mind!" Benetti yelled.
Eventually, the crew managed to track the squirrel down and got it out of the stadium so the game could continue.

The Detroit Tigers continued to show just the slightest signs of life on Monday night as they notched a 5-3 victory over the New York Yankees to move within 10 games of .500. Perhaps more importantly, they can only sustain a certain number of losses before the trade deadline until there's no choice but to deal Tarik Skubal.
Meanwhile the Yankees stayed atop the AL East despite the setback and are significantly less stressed. For proof, let's check in on Jazz Chisholm Jr. The second baseman made history by becoming the first player to play an MLB game with a lollipop in his mouth in Detroit, but that wasn't even the most entertaining moment he provided.
That came during the bottom of the fourth inning when he happened to notice a camera embedded in the infield dirt and stopped the game so he could get to the bottom of it. What resulted was pure cinema with the Tigers broadcast team of Jason Benetti and Andy Dirks providing some wonderful commentary from the perspective of the dirt cam.
The dirt cam has been doing the work of providing some awesome camera shots all year and this is the first time a player noticed it out on the playing field. It's perfectly understandable that Chisholm would prefer to play his position without concern a ball is going to take a wicked hop after some fancy hidden equipment. He also seemed to be having a good time with the whole thing, which one would suspect from the guy who ate a lollipop on the field.
Credit to Benetti and Dirks for getting into character and turning the delay funny.

The Yankees, led by second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr., noticed a dirt cam sticking up out of the ground in the infield.
As Chisholm and company stepped on and kicked the dirt cam, the always entertaining Benetti and Dirks offered commentary from the perspective of the helpless dirt cam on the Detroit SportsNet broadcast.

Sports Business Journal's Austin Karp reports seven-time Cy Young Award winner Roger Clemens is returning to his old stomping ground to be a broadcast booth ****** yst on NBC's "Sunday Night Baseball."
"The longtime MLBer, who was repped by The Montag Group in making the deal happen, will be the Yankees ****** yst for the game, while Will Middlebrooks will be the Red Sox ****** yst," Karp writes. "Jason Benetti will be on play-by-play. Bob Costas will host the studio show for NBC, with Anthony Rizzo as ****** yst.
"Clemens has done 'SNB' as a guest ****** yst before, having jumped on the 'KayRod' alt-cast in 2022 on ESPN2 alongside Barry Bonds," Karp adds.
