The San Francisco 49ers have received mixed injury news after their 27-7 win over the Los Angeles Rams, with Jake Tonges facing a concerning MCL injury while De'Zhaun Stribling avoided the worst-case scenario.
Tonges was hurt during the victory at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and needed ***** istance off the field before being ruled out. Kyle Shanahan later gave a blunt ***** sment of the tight end's situation, saying "it's not good" before adding that further evaluation was still needed.
The injury is particularly significant given Tonges' role behind George Kittle. He recorded 34 receptions for 293 yards and five touchdowns last season before signing a two-year, $8 million contract with San Francisco this year.

Stribling also suffered an injury during the game, initially leaving with an ankle problem before returning and then going down again on the following possession.
