It has been mentioned that the Red Devils are willing to trigger the Spanish defender's release clause to beat Barcelona in the race to land him this off-season.
Salinas enjoyed a good run of form at the Spanish club in the previous campaign when he produced a series of impressive displays for them on the left flank. The 19-year-old picked up seven ******* ists in 34 matches for Rayo Vallecano last season across all competitions.
The Spanish teenager is currently one of the most gifted young defenders in La Liga. Thus, the Red Devils would do well to win the race for his services in this transfer period.
His current contract at the Spanish club will expire in the summer of 2029, which could make it difficult for Man United to sign him on a cut-price deal this off-season.
