Abby Elliott is entering a new chapter in her personal life.
The Bear actress has filed for divorce from her husband, television writer and producer Bill Kennedy, after nearly 10 years of marriage, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.
According to the filing, Elliott, 39, cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and listed the couple's date of separation as July 8.
The actress is requesting joint legal and physical custody of the couple's two children, daughter Edith, 5, and son William, 3. She's also seeking spousal support and asking the court to terminate its ability to award support to Kennedy. In addition, Elliott requested that Kennedy cover her attorney's fees.
Elliott and Kennedy tied the knot on Sept. 3, 2016, and have largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight over the years. Kennedy has worked behind the scenes as a writer and producer on series including The Morning Show and Tell Me Lies.
