The partner of South Africa World Cup player Jayden Adams has spoken of her loss after his sudden death.
"There are no words to describe the pain I'm feeling," Aqueelah Chloe Adendorf said in a post on Instagram.
"Rest in peace, my love. Thank you for every memory, every laugh, every hug, and every moment we shared. You were not only the love of my life but also my greatest supporter and my best friend."
Adams died aged just 25. Police have launched an investigation after his body was found in a house in a suburb of Cape Town on Saturday morning.
Just weeks earlier, the midfielder for South African club Mamelodi Sundowns had been in action at the World Cup in North America. He played in all three group matches for Bafana Bafana but was an unused substitute in the last-32 loss to Canada.
