FC Barcelona's pursuit of Julian Alvarez has entered a period of apparent calm, but negotiations remain very much alive behind the scenes.
The Argentine has already made his intentions clear by expressing his willingness to leave Atletico Madrid this summer.
Meanwhile, Barça president Joan Laporta has deliberately avoided fueling speculation in recent public appearances so as not to complicate the club's position, although he did confirm that the club had made an offer and that it remains on the table.
All parties have agreed to postpone any major developments until after the World Cup, when Barcelona intend to launch what they see as a near-decisive move for the Argentine striker.
Now, according to SPORT, Barcelona intend to submit an offer worth approximately €130 million after the World Cup.
