Christy Knowings, an actress best known for being a cast member on "All That," died at the age of 46 from cardiac arrest, according to her death certificate.
Per People, who obtained the document and first reported the news, Knowings' death followed acute hypoxic respiratory failure and status asthmaticus, with asthma being noted as an underlying cause.
This update comes nearly three weeks after a family member shared with TMZ that Knowings, who also appeared on "Sesame Street" opposite her twin brother, actor Chris Knowings, died after suffering from an asthma attack on Aug. 7 that resulted in brain damage.
It's said Knowings was hospitalized and put on life support following the health incident. She died on the evening of Aug. 11 after being taken off life support.
Following the news of her death, Kenan Thompson, Knowings' former "All That" co-star, took to Instagram and remembered her as "one of the funniest people out here."

The artist formerly known as Kanye West is looking to prevent his past antisemitic social media posts from being used as evidence in a discrimination trial later this year.
In court documents, first spotted by TMZ and reviewed by Complex, Ye argued that the posts have nothing to do with the trial. The filing also provided a 919-page report detailing the alleged posts that would be used, which included an Instagram photo of a ******* robe, with the caption "Outfit of the day," and X posts that read, "I'm a ******* ," "I love Hitler. Now what ******* ," and "I used to f**k employees in my office."
The posts at issue come not only from Ye, but also former Ye employees YesJulz and Milo Yiannopoulos, as well as other third-party and media accounts. Ye's attorneys argue that the posts should not be included for, among other reasons, the fact that some cannot be authenticated, and that others were posted either before or after the plaintiff's "alleged employment."
Benjamin Provo, a former security guard at the now defunct Donda Academy, filed a lawsuit against Ye in 2024, accusing the rapper of discriminating against the school's Black employees.
