Rob Lowe's son, actor John Owen Lowe, shared an emotional poem about hope on his Instagram page over the weekend, just days after his 13-year-old cousin Fiona died by suicide.
The poem he posted was Emily ******* inson's "Hope Is the Thing With Feathers," which reads, "Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul, and sings the tune without the words, and never stops at all. And sweetest in the gale is heard; and sore must be the storm that could abash the little bird that kept so many warm."
It concludes, "I've heard it in the chillest land, and on the strangest sea; yet, never, in extremity, it asked a crumb of me."
The post came after Rob and John Owen arrived at the Los Angeles home of Rob's younger brother, Chad Lowe, on Thursday (October 1), per The Daily Mail. Fiona was the second daughter of Chad and his wife, Kim Painter. The couple also have daughters Mabel (17) and Nixie (10).
Last week, a statement from the medical examiner confirmed that Fiona was ******* ounced dead at a local hospital at 1:14 am on September 29. The manner of death was ruled a suicide.
