Tottenham Hotspur star Jan Paul van Hecke has revealed his take that the physical approach made use of by La Liga outfit Getafe in the recent meeting between the sides was not at all necessary.
Spurs and Getafe, for those not aware, locked horns in a friendly clash on Saturday, amid ongoing preparations for the fast-approaching campaign ahead.
When all was said and done, the spoils were shared, after Alberto Risco's opener was cancelled out by Conor Gallagher.
As alluded to above, though, in the game's aftermath, it was not the outcome which proved the central talking point amongst those of a Tottenham persuasion.
Instead, widespread chatter surrounded the approach of Getafe, who, at times, tested the limits of the word 'friendly'.

Ulster second row Fiona Tuite said her side "need to execute more" after their narrow 15-10 defeat against Connacht in the first round of their Interprovincial Championship.
The two sides were level after a tight first half, but a dominant second period from the Westerners helped them to victory.
Despite the home defeat, Tuite believes there were positives to take for her side.
"That was one of the feistiest Ulster performances we've had, particularly in opening games. Usually we leave it until the final, but that was incredible," she told BBC Sport NI.
"Connacht were brilliant. Their backs throw the ball so well and then Anna McGann just glides through to score tries.
